116 companies from across Britain are to attend the Farnborough International Trade Show. Hosted by ADS, the companies in question will be gathered at the UK Trade Village to make the most of significant available opportunities with global industries from the Aerospace and Defence sectors.
This year’s international airshow at Farnborough sees an increase in exhibitors and the high turnout clearly indicates that small and medium sized businesses are ceasing the opportunities to engage with this market.
The SME community along with Aerospace, Defence, Space and Security provide one million jobs in the UK. They export £22bn of services and equipment, whilst investing £3bn in research and development each year. The Aerospace and Defence sectors in the UK are Europe’s leading exporters, second only to the US worldwide.
Chief Executive Officer at ADS, Rees Ward, is reported to have said that the Defence and Security sectors as well as UK Aerospace are exporting strongly. Whilst other country’s economies, with businesses from the BRIC nations, Asia Pacific, Far East and Middle East, are being presented at Farnborough, UK businesses have a huge opportunity to engage with new markets.
He went on to say that the week at Farnborough brings the world of Aerospace and Defence to the doorstep of the United Kingdom. It is a perfect opportunity for any of the UK companies who are looking for export opportunities.
